General Information:
When is the Gathering and what time is it?
Saturday May 3, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Will Longaberger Homestead® be open to the public and to Collectors Club members and their guests?
Longaberger Homestead will be closed to the general public on Saturday May 3. You must be registered for the Collectors Club Homestead Gathering for access on this day. Please show your event name badge that you will receive in your confirmation packet for entrance to Longaberger Homestead.
What is this year's theme?
Good Ol' Fashioned Hoedown – Celebrating familiar traditions of American Farm life.
Can I become a Charter Member so I can be included in the Charter Member Grand Prize drawing?
A Charter Member is a member who joined the Collectors Club in 1996 when the club first started. If you are not already a Charter Member you cannot become a Charter Member to have access to Charter Member benefits. However, members will have access to a member grand prize drawing and the hourly drawings.
Can a guest become a Collectors Club member onsite? Will they be able to make a basket?
Yes, there will be an area in the Basketmaking Facility as well as at Longaberger Homestead for guests to join Collectors Club on site. Guests who become members the day of the event will receive a pre-woven event basket and will be entered into the hourly and grand prize drawings for the day. You will need to pay the additional registration fee of $25 to register for the event as a member and receive member perks (Member registration is $80 and guest registration is $55).
Will scooters be available the day of the event? If so, is there a charge?
Yes, scooters will be available on a rental basis only. You may select to rent a scooter when you are registering for the event by selecting the option listed. The rental is a flat fee of $35 per day. **Please note: Scooters added on-site will be a flat fee of $50. Scooters may be picked up the day of the event in the wheelchair tent near the handicapped parking area.
Will there be hourly door prizes?
Yes for Collectors Club members only.
How do Members claim their prize?
You will need to claim your prize the day of the event. You must be present to receive the prize and prizes must be picked up the day of the event (May 3). Prizes will not be shipped after the event. Prize winners will be posted in the Basketmaking Facility near the information area and at the door prize pick up area at Longaberger Homestead.
Will I have the opportunity to have a Family Member sign my basket?
Collectors Club members will have a chance to win a family signing through a scratch off ticket that they will receive in their confirmation packet.
How does the silent auction work?
We are still finalizing the details for the Silent Auction. More information will be available in your confirmation packet that you will receive after you register.
Golf Outing - Will there be a golf outing for guests at this year's Collectors Club Homestead Gathering?
No. There is not a special golf outing, however guests can call the Longaberger Golf Club at 740-763-1100 to make a reservation.
Will lunch be provided at the event?
Yes. Lunch will be provided in the Basketmaking Facility. Registered paying members' and guests' lunch will be served in a special surprise. Children 9 and under will not receive their lunch served in a special surprise.

What day and time does registration go live for the 2008 Collectors Club Homestead Gathering?
Registration for the Collectors Club Homestead Gathering begins on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 1p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
How much is the registration fee?
Registration is $80 for a Collectors Club member and $55 for a guest.
Children 9 yr and under are admitted free to the 2008 Collectors Club Homestead Gathering. Do they still register and will they receive their lunch in a Special Surprise?
Yes, they do need to register as a guest with a registered adult. No, they will not receive the special surprise.
I am bringing a child, 10-17 years old, how much does it cost for them to attend the event and what is included?
9 years and under are free – DOES NOT include the special surprise that lunch will be served in.
10-17 years of age – Registration fee of $55 includes lunch served in a special surprise and event activities. DOES NOT include Make A Basket™
If your child is an active Collectors Club member, they may register for the event at the Member rate and receive a pre-woven event basket. They will not be able to participate in the Make A Basket.
Does my membership need to be current?
Yes, your Collectors Club membership must be current to register for the event. If you need to renew your membership contact Collectors Club Customer Care Center Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-11p.m. EST at 740-322-7800 and press option 2.
As a Collectors Club member can I register online? How?
Yes, go to www.longaberger.com and click on the Collectors Club title at the top of the page. Click on the Collectors Club Homestead Gathering Button to see more information about the event. At the bottom of the Join our Celebration page you will need to click on the symbol register here. This will lead you to the event registration page.
As a Collectors Club consultant member can I register online? How?

If I don't have a computer access, how do I register?
If you do not have computer access, you may contact Collectors Club Customer Care Center Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-11p.m. EST at 740-322-7800 and press option 2.
Before registering what do I need?
You as the member will need your membership number, credit card (Visa, Master Card or Discover) number and expiration date, your mailing address, phone number, email, your preferred Make A Basket time and special needs. For your guest you will need to have their first and last name and special needs.
What does my Collectors Club member event registration include?
Member registration includes an event Make A Basket (18 years and older) or a pre-woven event basket (if you choose or if you are under 18 years), a chance to win a family signature, hourly door prizes, grand prize drawing, Charter Members only grand prize drawing, lunch served in a special surprise (Children under 10 yr do not receive the special surprise), access to the Silent Auction and Collectors Market, access to displays and demonstrations, exclusive event shopping and much more.
What does my guest event registration include?

How many guests can I bring?
There is not a limit on the number of guests (non members) you can bring to the event.
What is the deadline to register for the Collectors Club Homestead Gathering?
Register by March 20, 2008 to receive your confirmation packet before the event, so you can plan your trip.
If space is available, registrations will continue to be accepted after March 20. All registrations received after March 20 will not be guaranteed to receive their confirmation packet before the event and you may have to pick up your packet on-site.
Online registration will close on April 28, 2008. If we have not met event capacity you may register for the event onsite.
We will offer on-site registration, if we have not met capacity by the day of the event. Once event capacity has been met, registration for the event will be closed. So register today!
Can I as a member register other members as my guest?
No, members need to be registered as members and guests (non members) as guests. Members registered as a guest will not get member perks.
I am a new member and I am already signed up as a guest, will I get member perks?
Yes, guests who become members the day of the event will receive a pre-woven event basket and will be entered into the hourly and grand prize drawings for the day. You will need to pay the additional registration fee of $25 to register for the event as a member and receive member perks (Member registration is $80 and guest registration is $55).
How do I register my bus or tour group?
Tours registered by February 1, 2008 will be receiving a phone call to assist you in registering each member (or guest) on your tour. Each individual registration must be complete and will be confirmed with a confirmation email. Any tours registered after February 1, 2008 will need to register their guests beginning February 13, 2008.
Please remember to register members as members and guests (Non members) as guests.
I have 2 memberships, can I register for the event under both registrations?
Yes, if you have two Collectors Club memberships you can register under each membership and you will be charged $80 for each registration (total of $160). Each membership registration will include a Make A Basket™; however a non-member cannot use your membership registration. Non-members would have to register as a guest.
If I cannot attend, can I transfer my registration to another member?
No, registrations are NOT transferable. You would need to cancel your member registration.
If my guest cannot attend, can I transfer my guest's registration to another guest?
No, registrations are NOT transferable. You would need to cancel the registration for your guest and then register the new guest.
If a member has a guest registered and the member has to cancel, can the guest still attend the event?
The event is a perk of membership and registered guests need to attend the event with a Collectors Club member registered for the event.
How do I cancel if I cannot attend?
You may contact Collectors Club Customer Care Center Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-11p.m. EST at 740-322-7800 and press option 2 to speak to a Collectors Club representative.
If I cancel my registration do I receive a full refund?
Cancellations received on or before April 11, 2008 will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after April 11, 2008 will not receive a refund. Members are responsible if their guest cancels. You must send in your name badge and all vouchers if they have already been mailed to get your refund. Packets may be returned to: Collectors Club Homestead Gathering; 1500 East Main Street; Newark, OH 43055
Once your name badge and all vouchers are received, your cancellation will be processed. You will immediately receive confirmation of your cancellation and your credit card will be credited within 7-10 business days. Please contact your bank if you do not see the credit within a couple of weeks. Members are responsible if their guest(s) cancel.
If a member registers for the Collectors Club Homestead Gathering and does not attend and does not cancel, will the Make A Basket be sent to them? Will they receive anything from the event?
No, we will not send out the Make A Basket or any other event items. You must attend the event to receive event perks.
Email Confirmations
I received two email confirmations, was my credit card charged twice?
Your credit card was not charged twice. The system automatically sends a confirmation to the registering member and if you typed in your email address on the confirmation page, you will receive a second email.
Where is my confirmation number?
Once you've finished registering, the last page will be the confirmation page, which will show your confirmation number. It will also appear on the confirmation page that is emailed to you after your registration is complete.
Why is everything online?
We have put all Collectors Club Gathering registrations online to streamline each attendee's registration.
Confirmation Packet
When will the confirmation packets be mailed?
Confirmation packets will be mailed the beginning of April. Confirmation packets will be mailed to the member who is registered for the event as a member. All of the guest information will be mailed to the member who registered them. Members who registered for the event by March 20 will receive their registration packet in the mail.
Will my guest's registration information be included with my confirmation packet?
Yes, your guest confirmation information will be included in your member confirmation packet.
What if I do not receive my confirmation packet in the mail?
If a packet is not received in the mail, Customer Care will forward the member name and we will have a packet ready for you to pick up on-site located between Longaberger Homestead and the Basketmaking Facility. We will not replace packets that were not received by mail. If you need assistance, please call the Collectors Club Customer Care Center 740-322-7800.
What do I do if my name badge is incorrect or the contents in my confirmation packet received in the mail are incorrect?
Call the Customer Care Center and a Customer Care representative will take your name, membership number, city and state along with the information regarding what is incorrect. The correct information will be waiting for you at the registration information area the day of the event in the registration tent located between Longaberger Homestead and the Basketmaking Facility.
Will there be a schedule in my registration packet?
Yes.
Payment
What credit cards do you accept?
We will accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover for Collectors Club Homestead Gathering registration adjustments onsite. No cash or checks.
Can I break up the costs between two credit cards or can I make a partial payment for registration?
The system we are currently using does not allow us to accept more than one form of payment.
Why are you encouraging credit card payments online?
All registration details are handled online to ensure consistency and a smoother, quicker process. Credit cards allow for this. We are very confident and comfortable with the credit card security measures on the online site.
Late Registration
Will there be late registration on-site?
If the event does not reach capacity prior to the event date, we will have late registration onsite the day of the event.
When is late registration open at the Collectors Club Homestead Gathering?
Late registration will be located in the registration tent located between Longaberger Homestead and the Basketmaking Facility from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Collectors Market
Who can participate in the Collectors Market?
Only Collectors Club Members may submit a request for tent space at the Collectors Market.
Is it just available to those Collectors Club members who have registered for the event?
Anyone attending the Gathering may purchase from the Collectors Market.
How do you register for the Collectors Market?
All reservations are made through the Longaberger Homestead Events. Contact Kelli McVay at 740-828-4834.
Are they limited to sell past Collectors Club products or can it be any Longaberger product?
Sales and trading are limited to Longaberger products that were sold in the past and are not currently available from Home Consultants.
Longaberger products originally given as awards, special recognition or gifts to Collectors Club members, employees or our Longaberger Independent Home Consultants cannot be sold at the Collectors Market.
Non Longaberger products are prohibited.
Make A Basket™
Can everyone participate in the event Make A Basket?
No, the event Make A Basket is for Collectors Club members only and you must be 18 years or older to weave a basket on the Basketmaking floor. Members who are under 18 years will be able to receive a pre-woven event basket.
Does my guest get to participate in the event Make A Basket?
No, the event Make A Basket is for Collectors Club Members only this year.
However, for guests our daily Make A Basket operation in the front of the Basketmaking Facility will be open and taking reservations throughout the day. You can call Guest Relations for reservations at 740-322-5588, option 0 or sign up the day of the event if openings are available.
Can I change my event Make A Basket time onsite?
You may check the event Make A Basket area the day of the event to see if we will be able to accommodate your request.
What are the basket choices for the event Make A Basket?
An exclusive colorful little bushel basket was created especially for this event. You must be a Collectors Club member and attend the event to make this basket.
What does the event Make A Basket look like?
The 2008 Gathering event basket is made on the Small Bushel form. It is a small volume basket. It has a heartwood open bottom (no fillers). The upsplints are alternating 5/8" sunwash yellow and 3/8" red. The weaving is alternating 3/8" sage and 5/8" sunwash yellow. The trimstrip is heartwood and it has 5" red leather ears.
Will the pre-woven event baskets be signed by a family member?
No, the pre-woven event baskets will not be signed by a family member.
Can I get my pre-woven event basket or event Make A Basket signed by a family member at the event?
Collectors Club members will receive a scratch-off ticket in their confirmation packet which will indicate if you have won the opportunity to get a family signature at the event. If you have a winning ticket and your event Make A Basket takes place prior to the family signing time assigned or you are able to pick up your pre-woven event basket prior to the family signing time assigned you may take the event basket to be signed.

What are the hours of Longaberger Homestead retail shops?
The hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for Saturday May 3, 2008
Will there be exclusive items available to purchase (Ex: Collectors Club apparel) at Longaberger Homestead?
Yes. There will be an area at Longaberger Homestead for registered Collectors Club members and their guests to shop for exclusive items at the event.
Will there be an obsolete area?
The Longaberger Factory Store will have special shopping opportunities. More information will be provided to you in your confirmation packets.
How do I order the engraved lid for the Make A Basket?
After you weave your basket, order your own personalized lid engraved with your name, the date of the event and the Collectors Club logo. Lids will be made to order and shipped to you after the event. You may order and pay for your personalized lid in the Basketmaking Facility near the Basketmaking floor on the day of the event.
What are the other accessories available for the event Make A Basket?
